Apply for a library card

Applying for a library card is quick and easy. Please bring your current photo I.D. (driver's license, state-issued I.D., or passport) with your current address so we can create your library account. If you do not have your current address in Lyons updated on your I.D., please bring along a current utility bill showing your address in addition to your photo I.D.
If you live within the Lyons city limits, you will receive a full service library card. This allows your to check out up to 50 items and 25 holds at a time for no additional fee.

If you live outside the city limits of Lyons, you can still receive a library card at no charge. This card will allow you to check-out 10 items at a time and access to placing 10 holds at a time on materials from other libraries in CCRLS. If you would like to upgrade to a full service card, which allows additional checkouts, holds, and full access to all the 18 library cooperative member locations, the annual fee per household is $60 (this is the amount that city residents pay annually in taxes to support the library). Patrons living outside of Polk, Marion or Yamhill county may qualify for an Oregon Library Passport card-- ask for more details.

If you are a under the age of 18 you may receive a library card for no charge that will allow you to check out up to 25 children's and young adult materials at a time. This card will not allow you to check out adult material. All you need to start the process is your legal guardian with you to fill out the application.
